Happy New Year 2014

Wishing all my readers a very happy and prosperous new year 2014.

The year 2013 had started off with a declaration (I can call it a new year resolution too) that I would keep you all engaged with a rejuvenated blog, with many more travelogues. Alas! I managed to write down only 5 of them. But two of them were an accomplishment, if you can give credit to the fact that I wrote about my trips that had happened 7 years before.

I could certainly have done better. But what is past is past. Now time again for yet another resolution that 2014 keeps the blog alive with a post at least once in a month.

2013 had been an interesting year for me. I had moved into my own (yes my own) apartment in Bangalore. And we were waiting for a new entrant in our family! Many arguments on whether it is a boy or a girl. Suggesting and discarding lot of baby names.

Our bundle of joy was born on 24th June. We named her Varsha Girish. Yes, you guessed it right. Her nickname is also VG. So selfish of me!!

Varsha has been a pleasure to watch, anxious to see her grow, do lot of small things - starting from smiling, making sounds, giggling, turning around and lying on her tummy, rolling over all over the place and finally crawling to get to her favourite toy.

The year 2013 was also filled with umpteen weekend trips to Palakkad/Kozhikode to see my darling.

There was also a sudden trip to the US, on a notice of 3 days in the last week of October. It was the shortest trip of just 4 days of office work (meetings). But it gave me a chance to see Hong Kong and spend the Diwali at LA with my cousin and family. They also had a cute little baby couple of months older than mine.

Back from the trip, and Varsha was here to welcome me. Two months after that just flew away.

The year end brought in another change in my life. My office got closer to home. Just 10 min away. Hurray! I can come home for lunch. But the new year brings in a new assignment in my work. Supporting a key customer. At the customer site. I am ready for the challenge. Let us see if it brings more pleasure and leads me to greater success professionally.

If you have woken up after a new year party hang over, and read this post, you would have missed the Happy New Year sign in the beginning. So let me wish once again

HAPPY NEW YEAR
